First fold the ear back against the head Please notice the long hair, that would be covered by the ear if it were folded over in it's normal position.
We have used a number 10 blade to remove the hair under the ear.
Use the very edge of you blade to trim under the eye.
In this photo we are lifting the mustache to find the edge of the mouth. Use the every edge of the mouth as your giude line to shape the mustache and leave about 1/4 inch of hair to cover the corner of the mouth.
In this photo the blade is started at the top of the head and is taken down the front of the head directly between the eyes, all the way down to the edge of the nose.
We have folded the ear back down, and have trimmed the top 1/3 of the ear, to give a neat appearance to the ear. This allows the ear to blend in with the top of the head.
This photo shows the finished ear in the normal position. Blended into the head and trimmed 1/3 down the top of the ear.
Now we have taken both the mustache and beard and gather it up in our hand, and are using the edge of the dog's skull (from the outside edge of the ear, down wards)to trim down the side of the dog's neck.
This shows the underside of the neck completely groomed in a " V " shape.
In this photo, we have combed the beard forward, to prepare the shaping of the beard and mustache.
The long hair of the leg is pulled back to expose just the foot. We have used this method so we don't cut any of the long hair off the leg. You only trim the foot, not the long leg hair.
To trim the hair between the paws, if you slightly apply light pressure right above the toes, they will part like the photo shows. Then you have a much better view of what you are trimming.
We have left this photo bigger so you can see the difference the top foot, which is groomed correctly, and the bottom foot, which has part of the leg hair removed. Remember the TOP FOOT is the way, you want the final Mi-Ki's foot to look.
