**NEW MEMBERSHIP POLICY GOES INTO EFFECT ON AUGUST 1, 2005**

Posted August 8, 2005

As many Mi-Ki fanciers know, new clubs have formed and Mi-Ki owners, as well as breeders were torn between clubs. In the past, all clubs who exist demanded total allieghence to their club and each individual , would not allow their members or current members to join more than one club. The Mi-Ki Club of America feels it's time to change those policies.

By the separation of clubs and restrictions of total allegiance to a particular club the gene pool is substandsually reduced. If this practice would continue, it would only take a matter of a few short years, and that individual club would find that they would have to resort to inbreeding. Therefore it is imperative to an open membership be established for the betterment of the breed.

First we want to invite any purebred Mi-Ki owner who holds a registration with our organization to feel free to make an application to join our club with absolutely no obligation to register any litters with us. Since the breed has grown so fast, many organizations will now register our Mi-Ki's, so we want potential new members to understand that they will be able to register their Mi-Ki with any registration organization they wish to choose. If at a future time, if they wish to register a Mi-Ki from us, we will have requirements to meet our criteria to submit a litter or a individual Mi-Ki that was registered with another organization.

We want to invite any Mi-Ki Individual or Breeder, or Individual, who holds a Mi-Ki Club of America Registration, or who has a direct discentdent out of one of our dogs appearing in our stud books to make an application with us. See our Application to get started.
